This past weekend, the Aeronyde team participated in the XBuild Hackathon at AUVSI - the world’s leading UAV showcase event.

Aeronyde submitted a project called VASHR, Voice-controlled Autonomous System for Hazard Detection & Rescue, which provides an automated system for Emergency Response UAV use.  The system makes it easy and efficient to deploy an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle in an emergency situation by implementing Watson APIs such as speech-to-text and voice analysis.

The team won several accolades for the project, including:   Best Medical Solution, Best Use of IBM Watson, and Best Use of FlytBase.

Here is a video of VASHR in action:

The team was led by Munstaser Jems Syed, along with Christopher Woodle, Mano Rahul K Pakalapati, and Ismayuzri Ishak. We are very proud of our team for winning in our first Aeronyde hackathon entry!
